Following its appointment by Waterstone's back in May, Square One has now published its second issue of the prestigious book-lovers magazine, Waterstone's Books Quarterly. The magazine will be available via the book retailer's 200 high street and academic campus shops across the UK, Ireland and Europe. A spokesperson for Waterstone's said: "Over the last couple of decades, we have built our reputation on an unparalleled high street range of books, and enthusiastic and knowledgeable booksellers who are happy to recommend the best books in every field to our customers. Books Quarterly has been created to communicate this passion to our customers when they're not in store. Square One's in-depth marketing knowledge and high-quality publishing expertise makes them the ideal media partner." Originally launched in 2001, the magazine's remit is to recommend books across all genres and encourage readers to experiment with books and authors previously unknown to them. It does this through a mix of news, author features and interviews, as well as reviews of over 100 books per issue. Books Quarterly adds value to Waterstone's core customers and builds brand loyalty. It also adds a fantastic opportunity to up-sell opportunities to lighter and gift buyers. The magazine extends the booksellers brand identity, positioning it as intelligent, authoritative and definitive. Square One Director, Simon
Chappell, said: "We are very much looking forward to helping Waterstone's build profitable
relationships with their customers by creating a high-quality, entertaining read." |
