Square One Publishing launches its first newsstand title on 5 January, the award-winning LighterLife magazine. LighterLife is the magazine for the groundbreaking health and lifestyle company of the same name. Since its customer launch in September 2001, the magazine has attracted 85,000 loyal readers. For its newsstand launch, LighterLife will open with a bi-monthly print run of 140,000 copies and a cover price of £2.90. Like its parent company, LighterLife magazine is set to revolutionise the public perception of weight loss. Bucking the trend for a heavy focus on food, diet and exercise, it instead opts for a more intelligent approach by examining the psychological complexities of weight loss in order to achieve permanent success. The magazine helps women to understand how they can shed the pounds while also being healthy and happy. A television and press campaign will support the launch of the magazine as a newsstand title, which recently won the 2005 APA award for Most Effective Non-Retail Consumer Magazine. |
