LighterLife magazine is carrying a cover-mounted pair of flip-flops with its fourth issue which went on sale at the end of June.

This covermount is refreshing for a slimming magazine, marking a big departure from the usual round of weight-loss and dieting products that normally appear on their covers.

The flip-flops are available in three summery colour combinations – pink, with a white thong; white with a green thong; and blue with a blue thong – and in two sizes, small-to-medium and medium-to-large.

Too often women have been told to simply watch their calories. LighterLife magazine shows them how to lose weight and keep it off by exploring the emotional issues that make people overeat.

The magazine offers an informative, entertaining mix of real-life success stories and an in-depth look at how the way we feel can affect the way we look.

Before January 2006, the title was purely a customer magazine, but it launched through Square One as a newsstand publication for the first time at the beginning of this year.

Square One publisher Robin Harrison said: “We are very excited about issue 4’s covermount, particularly as it is the first time a slimming magazine has attempted to compete with the women’s lifestyle titles in this way. We can’t wait to see the results.”
