Leading insurers Direct Line hook up with Square One for major new customer magazine

Direct Line, the UK’s largest direct private motor insurer and one of the most successful home insurers, has appointed Square One Group to create and launch a new customer magazine. This is the first time Direct Line has used a magazine to reach its four million-strong customer base, appointing Square One over competitors Redwood and the Communications Team.

The magazine, entitled Direct Living, will be sent to quarter of a million readers in September. It will offer diverse and interesting editorial content, featuring trade experts, tips, challenges and Q&As on core subject elements such as On The Road, At Home, Travelling and Money Matters. A clean design and strong colours will create a positive, attractive look that complements the Direct Line brand.

Jim Wallace, Marketing Director of Direct Line, says: "We see the magazine as a key tool for interacting with our customers and building brand loyalty. With this new vehicle, we will be able to increase customers’ understanding of our services and products, and develop a better relationship with the people who buy our products."
