Independent customer-publisher, Square One Group, has substantially strengthened its management team with the appointment of Roger Baker as Finance Director.
Baker was previously Finance Director of John Brown Citrus Publishing (JBCP), and prior to that was part of the management team that negotiated the merger of Citrus with John Brown Publishing.
With over 15 years contract publishing experience, Baker has also been Finance Director at BLA, then Citrus and, for the last two years, at JBCP. He now rejoins Simon Chappell and Carey Sedgwick, both fellow directors at Citrus.
Baker, whose appointment will begin 1st August, said: "Square One is well placed for growth and a firm financial management policy will ensure that the company can move forward confident that we have the systems in place to facilitate growth, be it organically or through acquisition."
